Global Mobility and Employment Tax Manager | Top 5 Firm | Dublin

They are looking for a Global Mobility and Employment Tax Manager who will join their Employer Solutions team. In this role, you will provide expert advice on global mobility and employment tax issues to clients from diverse sectors. The role —

  • Manage employment tax services, ensuring compliance with client obligations.
  • Conduct tax technical research and provide advice on Irish tax legislation.
  • Plan and execute tax consultancy assignments for employment tax and global mobility.
  • Lead PAYE tax due diligence projects, collaborating with stakeholders and delivering findings.
  • Handle revenue disclosures, review supporting calculations, and communicate with relevant parties.
  • Assist clients with globally mobile employees, including preparing tax technical memorandums and providing ongoing support for cross-border working positions.
  • Advise clients on the application and implementation of assignee reliefs.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, contribute to business development, and participate in consultancy projects.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, and provide employment tax and global mobility updates to the tax team.
  • Ensure efficient work processes, meet deadlines, and mentor/train junior team members.
  • Demonstrate commitment to self-development through performance appraisals and personal development plans.

About you —

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an employment tax or global mobility role (consideration given to those with personal tax experience seeking a change).
  • AITI qualified / CTA qualified or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of global mobility and employment tax legislation.
  • Experience managing PAYE Revenue audits and compliance checks.
  • Proficiency in preparing/reviewing tax and shadow payroll calculations, personal tax returns for expatriate employees, and associated tax and social security applications.
  • Proven project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Client-facing experience within a tax team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with initiative, prioritization, and time management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
