Tax Manager (VAT) - SME Firm - Dublin

The Role

The Company is seeking an ambitious, highly motivated & fully qualified VAT Manager to join their Tax Team based in their brand-new offices located on Dublin 4.
 
The main responsibilities include the following:
  • Provide high quality VAT consultancy services to their clients
  • Work in collaboration with other areas of the business such as Income Tax, Corporate Tax, Capital Gains Tax and their Business Advisory teams.
  • Ability to manage a client portfolio profitably whilst being able to actively seek and develop opportunities for both existing and new clients.
  • Identify and project-manage tax consultancy assignments using solutions-based tax planning
  • Advise overseas clients relocating to Ireland on both compliance and tax structuring projects
  • Build and maintain client relationships both within the firm and within the wider Company's international network
  • Stay abreast of tax technical changes as a result of the evolving international tax landscape
  • Develop and train more junior members of the team - taking responsibility for both their technical and practical experience
  • Coach and mentor the Company's trainees.

The Ideal Candidate

  • CTA / CTC Qualified (Accountancy qualification is also desirable)
  • Minimum 3 years post qualification experience
  • Experience with VAT in Ireland and/or internationally is essential for this role
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
  • Excellent knowledge of corporate tax both in Ireland and internationally
  • Client focused with an interest in developing new business opportunities for the Company
  • Excellent team management skills.
