Located in Dublin 2, they are a rapidly growing, well established professional services firm providing a full suite of of accounting related services. This includes auditing, tax, management, and compliance services, together with restructuring and wealth management resources. They operate across a varied number of industries with clients ranging from sole traders to large, limited companies. They are one of the leading firms operating in the sports, music, and entertainment industries with over 20 years of experience in this exciting space. 

 

ABOUT THE POSITION 

They are seeking a Tax Trainee to join our team of accountants and tax professionals on a permanent basis.  The role is expected to be office based. 

 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Assist in managing the compliance requirements of the firm’s corporate and income tax clients, ensuring payment and return filing deadlines are met   
  • Preparation and filing of tax returns in relation to corporation tax and income tax 
  • Ad-hoc input into compliance and advisory matters relating to all other tax heads including VAT, PAYE/PRSI, Capital Gains Tax, CAT, Stamp Duty etc.  
  • Liaising with Revenue in respect of client matters 
  • Assisting senior staff with revenue audit assignments  

 

 

ABOUT YOU 

To succeed, the ideal candidate should: 

  • Hold a degree in accountancy or finance related discipline 
  • Thrive when working as part of a team 
  • Be able to work off their own initiative towards achieving deadlines 
  • Be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in house and with clients, both written and verbally 
  • Strive for excellence in their work 
  • Experience working in tax in a practice environment is an advantage but not a necessity
