Outsourcing Director – Top 10 Accounting Firm

Our client, a leading Top 10 accounting and advisory firm, is expanding its Outsourcing department and seeks an experienced Director to join their dynamic and growing team. As a senior member of the department, you will oversee a significant portfolio of clients, lead business development initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality work. This role offers excellent prospects for career advancement, including a clear pathway to Partner level.

About the Outsourcing Department

The Outsourcing team provides a comprehensive suite of services to help businesses manage their financial operations more effectively. These services are tailored to meet clients’ needs and streamline internal processes, enabling better strategic focus and improved financial control. Core services include:
  • Accounting & Financial Reporting: Bookkeeping, management accounts, and statutory financial statements across a range of industries.
  • Payroll Services: End-to-end processing, reporting, tax compliance, and employee benefit administration.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Budgeting, forecasting, and strategic insight to drive financial performance.
  • Corporate Secretarial Services: Compliance with regulatory obligations, board support, and statutory record maintenance.
  • Systems Implementation: Support in selecting and integrating financial systems, with ongoing optimisation advice.
  • Business Process Outsourcing (BPO): Full or partial finance function outsourcing to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • International Outsourcing: Multi-jurisdictional compliance and support for global businesses operating across borders.
The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans within the Consulting Division, our client is recruiting a Director to join their Outsourcing department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in a fast-growing area of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Lead a portfolio of key clients, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of assignments.
  • Business Development: Drive growth by identifying cross-selling opportunities and leading on pitches, tenders, and new client wins.
  • Team Leadership: Coach, mentor and develop a high-performing team of professionals.
  • Quality Assurance: Provide technical guidance and uphold standards of excellence across all assignments.
  • Performance Management: Track departmental KPIs and ensure goals are consistently met.
  • Strategic Contribution: Play a role in shaping departmental strategy and supporting wider firm initiatives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders across service lines to support overall business development.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified with significant senior-level practice experience, ideally within a Top 10 firm.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage teams, deliver projects and foster a positive team culture.
  • Client-Focused: Strong client relationship management experience with a commercial mindset.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong technical skills in accounting and financial reporting; experience with financial modelling is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to contribute to the growth and evolution of the outsourcing division.
